Owners of hot tubs in Ireland and Northern Ireland have always had an inner conflict when it comes to deciding if they should put their hot tub inside or outside.
To be honest there is no right or wrong answer as it all comes down to personal preference and/or site privacy.
So to try and help you make your decision we have listed some of the things you should consider.
1. Putting a hot tub inside your home - this will always be more difficult as a standard extractor fan will not be able to cope with the condensation from a hot tub when in use, plus you will need to allow drainage for any water that gets splashed over the side during use.
2. Do you have a neighbour overlooking the location you wish to use for your tub - If so you can screen the area with plants or you may wish to put your tub in a log cabin?
3. If your site is very exposed to the wind - as you get out of your tub your body is very warm which gives you some time to get to your house before you feel the cold. But if your site is very exposed you may want to locate the tub in a log cabin
4. If your tub is to be located far from the house - For the same reason as point 2 above you may want to put your tub inside a log cabin.
5. Make the most of your views - provided you stay within planning constraints you can place a log cabin anywhere in your garden to make the most of your views and still provide shelter and privacy.
6. Do you want additional features - by using a log cabin you can group a number of facilities together without spoiling your garden. For example it is easy to locate a hot tub, sauna and a table and chairs in a log cabin and then provide a decked area to facilitate barbecues and still manage to enhance your garden rather than spoil it.
