Log Cabin

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Do I need Planning Permission to errect a Log Cabin in my garden?
Q2. How often should I treat me new Log Cabin?

A1. Generally, No Planning Permission Needed

In most cases planning permission is not required for log cabins unless the overall area exceeds 30 sq metres, though it is always good practice to consult your local planning office if in any doubt at all, remember you are responsible for local authority approval for your own property.

A2. Caring for your Wood Cabin

If you use a good quality wood stain and top coat you should only have to retreat every 4-5 years, log cabins have a very log life span as long as you remember that they are wooden and need your help to withstand the elements.
